Belvdere Academy Sixth Form new identity
- Category: Brand design
- Designed while at The Belvedere Academy
- A new look for the Belvedere Academy Sixth Form, one that still links to the Acadamy but has its own identity.
I had previously designed an 'inspirational' poster for the academy that highlighted the nine pillars that made up a Belvedere student - part of 'being Belvedere'. These nine colours were also used in the sixth form identity to show the continuity and ethos these pillars represent are still as important in the acamdemy's sixth form.
The Belvedere forget-me-not was adapted and made bigger and wider to indicate growth and the starting to develop and branch out that being a sixth former offers. The flower was housed within the six to work as a self-contained design unit.
The six is to be used in a bold manner and design elements are to be angled off the diagonal ascender of the number. This angled use of imagery off the number six can be seen in advertising for the sixth form and also in the prospectus design.
