  • The concept was life is much brighter with Fuji, and using the paper will bring your colours to life. The idea was everyday mundane scenes were mirrored in the printed area (bus shelter) however, as this was on Fuji paper, everything was more modern, bright, exuberant, etc.

This piece mirrored the grey woman walking past wet, in a dull, rainy street against the colourful, Fuji-touched, woman with her bright clothes and backgrounds. I particularly like the rueful look the grey woman is giving the colourful poster. Once I had sourced the right images from stock libraries the 2 images of the women were brought together. Actually the street shot was quite colourful so I adjusted the levels and saturation on the image to make it greyer. Also the shot was longer that I wanted it to be so the poster had to be retouched on the fence closer to the grey woman. Once the colourful woman had been masked in to the fly poster I created a rain effect (shown above) and then, by manipulating the Photoshop layers, I was able to remove the black to make it look like it was actually raining.
