I worked at part of the design team that ‘themed’ the Shankly and Paisley lounges at Liverpool FC. Drawing initially from some of the great quotes and acerbic wit of Bill Shankly (upon researching it became clear that Bob Paisley had a fantastic dry sense of humour also) the idea was to use these quotes and imagery to provoke talking points amongst the fans when they used the lounges. Two massive lounges and also the entrances leading up to them were brought to life with graphic panels and historical timelines – half of the job was researching both men and finding suitable quotes and imagery.
